Scholarships
The Association for Professionals in Aging (APA) is excited to offer our annual scholarship program! We are offering five $1,500 scholarships.
APA provides scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students who attend a college or university in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area and who are studying in a field leading to a career in aging. Students may self-nominate and are eligible for one of the APA scholarships to be awarded on December 3, 2026 at the APA Scholarship Presentation and Networking Event. Below you’ll discover how we choose these outstanding students.CRITERIA
The APA Scholarship is awarded based on student interest and pursuit towards a career in aging. Character, personal merit, and academic achievement also are considered as demonstrated through leadership in school, civic, and extracurricular activities, and motivation to serve and succeed.
PROCESS
- Students should download the Scholarship Application below.
- If you have questions, please email info@tristateapa.com.
- Students submit an electronic copy (saved as a single PDF) of the scholarship application materials to the email provided on the application. Please review the application carefully in order to submit all required documentation (copy of academic record, application form, written essay, resume, two (2) reference letters).
- All materials must be emailed in a single PDF to info@tristateapa.com by 11:59 pm on October 23, 2026.
- A subcommittee of the APA will review applications.
- Scholarship recipients will be selected by November 20, 2026.
- Scholarship recipients are notified via email and are invited and expected to attend an APA event on December 3, 2026 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm, where the formal award will be given.
